In 2006 Volvo launched manufacture of autos type C70, modification T5 Summum and closed it in 2009. This 2-door cabriolet has a length of 4.6 meters, weight 1.6 tons and is designed to sit 4 people including the driver.

«C70 T5 Summum» is a front wheel drive automobile with a 5-speed sequential automatic gear shift. This automobile can be accelerated for 8 s to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 235 km/h, owing to a 5-cylinders petrol motor engine with a «multipoint injection system», which produce a maximum output of 220 hp at 5000 rpm.

The front wheels of this automobile have ventilated disks brakes and attached to the undercarriage using suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Back wheels have disks brakes and attached to the underframe by dint of suspension «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped sway bar. Tires have the next size - 235/45R17.

Volvo C70 is not certified for crash test Euro NCAP. In addition to active safety features (EBD, ABS, ESP, Brake assistant, Traction control), it is also equipped with passive safety features (passenger, side, driver, head/curtain airbags).
