From 2009 Volkswagen launched manufacture of automobiles model Phaeton, modification of 3.6 V6 4Motion 4-zitter and finished it in 2010. The weight of the car is 2.1 tn and a length of 5.1 meters, It is formed as sedan with four doors, and can be fit in 4 people including the driver.

Back wheels have ventilated disks, 280 mm brakes and fixed to the underframe using suspension «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 235/60R16.

Volkswagen Phaeton is not examined for Euro NCAP crash test. In addition to dynamic safety systems (ABS, Brake assistant, ESP, EBD, Traction control), it is also equipped with passive safety (side, passenger, head/curtain, driver airbags).
