Based on the Corsa second generation platform, the Tigra 2 door coupe was highly popular. Introduced in the 1993 Frankfurt auto show, it entered into production next year in 1994 offering choices of two Ecotec gasoline engines presenting capacities of 1,4 liter and 1.6 liters correspondingly. These CorsaGSi previously used power units boasted 4 valve cylinder heads and electronic fuel injection that additionally improved the performance.
