The Pathfinder from Nissan has been designed to act as a craggy vehicle and has to compete with the following:

• Land Rover Discovery 4
• Toyota Land Cruiser
• Mitsubishi Shogun

It has a foundation similar to Nissan Navara pick-up, but it comes with seven seats inside. When you will start the engine it will become apparent that it's not a very refined option the 2.5 L dCi diesel makes a lot of noise.

As far as the choice of specifications is concerned there is Acenta and the Tekna. Acenta comes with seventeen inches wheels of alloy and a front framework of chrome, privacy glass and roof rails that are more practical. The protection provided by body made up of aluminum also includes tailgate as well as door sills. Coming towards the Tekna versions they are on the brighter inside with eighteen inch alloy along with headlights of xenon. When you get inside it is very high and it's difficult to escape from the compact size of car.

The option of engine which is there for this vehicle is 2.5 L 4 cylinder diesel. This is not sounding that much convincing especially when the larger measurements of this vehicle are considered. But with 187 brake horsepower and the 332 Newton Meter torque allow the 2.5L engine to do a great job. The Acenta versions come with 6 speed manual gearboxes whereas the Tekna version gets the choice of, 5-speed automated and this one is capable of delivering efficient results. In 10.7 seconds it can reach from zero to sixty two meter per hour. Also, the physical gearbox is infected by a strange action of shift so that auto can be regarded as a better choice.

It got 4 stars from Euro NCAP and this is not a convincing performance. The passengers are given good care because there is the inclusion of passenger, driver, curtain and side airbags in every version whereas the manufacturer is offering ESP plus packages as standardized option for this vehicle. It consists of ABS and traction controlling options.
