The Mercedes Sprinter comes with a choice of two engines which include a four-cylinder and six-cylinder CDI common-rail diesel engines. The 2.2 liter four-cylinder engine is able to produce 96 bhp, 129 bhp along with 163 bhp. The 3.0-liter V6 is able to produce up to 190 bhp. You can also opt for the 156 bhp bi-fuel engine which is powered by both petrol and CNG. All models have the six-speed manual gearbox fitted as standard. However, Mercedes being one of the few manufacturers of van to offer a full auto transmission system also offers the 7G Tronic seven-speed automatic gear system on most models. The Sprinters drive through the rear wheels, but you can find the four-wheel drive system on all the models except the smallest ones.
