MERCEDES-BENZ S-klasse · S 350 Lang · Sedan · 2005 ‐ 2009

From 2005 Mercedes-Benz launched production of autos model S-klasse, modification S 350 Lang and finished it in 2009. This four-door sedan has a length of 5.2 meters, weight 1.8 tons and is designed to fit 5 person including the driver.

«S-klasse S 350 Lang» automobile with a 7-speed sequential automatic gearbox is fitted to the rear-wheels. This auto can be accelerated for 7.3 seconds to 100 km/h, with a ceiling speed of 250 km/h, thanks to a 6-cylinders petrol engine with a «multipoint injection fuel system», which generate a maximum power of 272 hp at 6000 rpm.

Fuel rate is 14.5 l in the urban mode of driving, on the track 7.7 liters, and the medium fuel rate is 10.1 liters per 100 kilometers. Tank volume is 90 liters of petrol, what provides to go about 892 kilometers unrefuelled.

The front wheels of this auto have ventilated disks brakes and attached to the underframe by dint of suspension type «Double wishbone, independent, pneumatic» and equipped with sway bar. Rearward wheels have disks brakes and attached to the body chassis using suspension type «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped sway bar. Tires have the next measure - 235/55R17.

Mercedes-Benz S-klasse is not tested for Euro NCAP crash test. In addition to active safety (Brake assistant, ESP, Traction control, EBD, ABS), it is also equipped with passive safety systems (passenger, head/curtain, driver, side airbags).
