From 2007 Mercedes-Benz launched production of automobiles type R-klasse, modification of R 350 Lang and closed it in 2010. In this auto can sit 57 men total, it has the form of a minivan with five doors, and length 5.2 meters, weight 2.1 tons.

«R-klasse R 350 Lang» is a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a 7-speed sequential automatic gear shift. This automobile can be accelerated for 8.2 s to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 234 km/h, due to a 6-cylinders petrol motor engine with a «multipoint injection system», which generate a max output of 272 horsepower at 6000 rpm.

Fuel consumption is 15.7 l in the city mode of driving, on the highway 8.8 liters, and the normal fuel rate is 11.3 liters per 100 kilometers. Tank volume is 80 l of petrol, what lets to drive about 708 km unrefueled.

The forward wheels of this auto have ventilated disks brakes and attached to the undercarriage using suspension type «Double wishbone, independent, coil springs» and equipped anti-roll bar. Rear wheels have disks brakes and attached to the body chassis by dint of suspension type «Multilink, pneumatic» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Tires have the next measure - 255/55R18.

Mercedes-Benz R-klasse is not tested for crash test Euro NCAP. Furthermore to passive safety features (driver, passenger, side, head/curtain airbags), it is also equipped with active safety features such as Traction control, ESP, EBD, ABS, Brake assistant.
