In 2005 Mercedes-Benz started manufacture of autos model C-klasse, modification C 320 CDI Elegance and terminated it in 2007. This four-door sedan has a length of 4.5 meters, weight 1.6 tons and is designed to sit 5 person including the driver.

«C-klasse C 320 CDI Elegance» is a rear wheel drive car with a 7-speed sequential automatic gearbox. This car can be accelerated for 7.2 s to 100 km/h, with a peak speed of 250 km/h, thanks to a 6-cylinders diesel engine with a «common rail system», which produce a maximum power of 224 horsepower at 3800 rpm.

Fuel rate is 10.1 l in the city mode of driving, on the highway 5.7 l, and the mixed fuel rate is 7.3 l per 100 kilometers. Gas tank volume is 62 liters of diesel, what lets to drive roughly 850 km unrefuelled.

The front wheels of this car have ventilated disks brakes and fixed to the body chassis with help of suspension «Double wishbone, independent, coil springs» and equipped sway bar. Rearward wheels have disks brakes and fixed to the underframe using suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with sway bar. Tires have the next dimensions - 205/55R16.

According to the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Mercedes-Benz C-klasse got the maximal quantity of stars - five, indicating that it is a very safe automobile. In addition to passive safety (passenger, driver, head/curtain, side airbags), it is also equipped with dynamic safety such as EBD, ABS, Traction control, Brake assistant, ESP.
