Rearward wheels have drums, 200 mm brakes and attached to the chassis using suspension type «Semi-independent, coil springs». Tires have the following dimensions - 165/70R13.

Mazda Demio is not tested for Euro NCAP crash test. This car has passive safety (passenger, driver airbags), however there is no active systems of safety.
