In the month of April in the year 2006 CX-9 was introduced to the public replacing the Mazda Multipurpose van in the North American region. In its form the CX-9 resembles the small CX-7, but this larger sized vehicle comes with many new parts, which include Ford-sourced CD3 platform with 3.5 L Cyclone V6 petrol plant. The customary tools levels have the inclusion of traction controlling system and Dynamic stability. The version was restored for the year 2008 and the introduction of a newer engine refitted to 3.7 liter.
