Also available as Efini MS-9 the Mazda 929 was basically a medium sized vehicle from 1973-1987 and after that it attained the status of a full size vehicle. Faired for thirty years initially 929 was the exporting name for Mazda Luce. When it was granted rotary engine people started to call these models Mazda RX-4 in the exporting markets. The term "Luce" vanished from Japan after this 929 mark was allotted to the following Sentia for some exporter markets that were given last two compeers. 929 enjoyed the status of being front -engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle and generally are the biggest Sadan offered by Mazda. The station wagon models of 1st and 2nd generation were present.
