From 2005 Mazda started production of autos type 5, modification of 2.0 Active and terminated it in 2008. This vehicle has 5 doors, the body chassis is in the form a minivan, weight 1.4 tons and length 4.6 meters, which can seat 7 men in sum.

«5 2.0 Active» is a front wheel drive auto with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This car can speed up for 10.8 seconds to 100 km/h, with a peak speed of 196 km/h, owing to a 4-cylinders petrol engine with a «multipoint injection fuel system», which generate a max power of 145 horsepower at 6000 rpm.

Fuel rate is 11 l in the urban driving mode, on the suburban 6.6 l, and the intermediate fuel rate is 8.2 liters per 100 km. Fuel tank volume is 60 l of petrol, what provides to go about 732 km unrefueled.

The front wheels of this model have ventilated disks, 300 mm brakes and fixed to the body chassis with help of suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Back wheels have disks, 302 mm brakes and attached to the body chassis through suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with sway bar. Tires have the next measure - 205/50R17.

In accordance with the information of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Mazda 5 gained the higher quantity of stars - 5, which means that it is a perfect safe automobile.
