In 2004 Mazda launched production of automobiles model 3 Sedan, modification of 1.6 CiTD Active and terminated it in 2006. This automobile has four doors, the body is in the form a sedan, weight 1.2 tons and length 4.5 meters, which can seat 5 people total.

«3 Sedan 1.6 CiTD Active» is a front wheel drive auto with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This auto can speed up for 11.3 s to 100 km/h, with a maximum speed of 185 km/h, due to a 4-cylinders diesel motor engine with a «common rail fuel system», which produce a maximum output of 110 horsepower at 4000 rpm.

Fuel rate is 6.2 liters in the urban mode of driving, on the highway 4.3 liters, and the medium fuel rate is 5 l per 100 kilometers. Fuel tank capacity is 55 l of diesel, what allow you to drive roughly 1100 kilometers unrefuelled.

The front wheels of this vehicle have ventilated disks, 278 mm brakes and attached to the chassis by dint of suspension «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Rearward wheels have disks, 265 mm brakes and fixed to the underframe through suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped anti-roll bar. Tires have the next size - 205/55R16.

In accordance with the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of Mazda 3 Sedan got the lot number of stars - 4, which means that it is a well safe vehicle. In addition to passive safety systems (passenger, side, driver, head/curtain airbags), it is also equipped with dynamic safety systems such as ABS, Traction control, Brake assistant, EBD.
