You may find that Lexus LS to be enormous but it is not the most striking luxury saloon in the market. The saloon has a three-box shape, which is quite standard but the design is made slightly different because of the imposing grille that has a "L" badge along with the fact that there is a rear windscreen which is quite rakish. The flagship model has a V8 petrol-electric hybrid engine that produces an output of 439 bhp. The acceleration is excellent in this model. The 460 produces 0-62 mph within 5.7 seconds and the hybrid version takes 6.1 seconds. You will also like the fact that the LS is quite silent even when it is producing a lot of power. The slight downfall is the bad suspension which rolls and pitches when it is under load, which makes a very unpleasant experience.

The Lexus LS does not have a high sales number, which renders it unable to be bested for the Euro NCAP. However, you can rest assured that it has an excellent safety kit, which includes driver and passenger airbags, which have pelvis and knee airbags for the driver and the passenger occupant. There are curtain airbags all around, as well. The other features include traction and stability control, adaptive steering and Brembo brakes that have brake-force distribution. You will also like the added feature of an infra-red camera which is just mounted behind the steering wheel that is able to monitor the face of the driver for any signs of tiredness and drowsiness. If you start to nod off, an alarm is rung to wake you up so that you can concentrate on your driving.

You will find that the Lexus LS has an interior cabin which has ample of space. The model that has a long wheelbase enables individuals to have leg room. Only two people can fit in the back though since the space for the middle seat has been replaced with a rear entertainment pack that has a nine-inch screen as well as a DVD player along with large console to hold drinks. The LS600h has even a longer wheelbase, which provides a more luxurious spacing along with a reclining rear seat that has a massage function along with an Ottoman style footrest. The boot space is decreased because of the hybrid's motor and batteries. The boot space is only 330 liters and if compared to the boot space of the Mercedes S-Class, the space is 230 liters. There is no option for the rear seats to be folded, even if you want to make more room.
