LAND ROVER Defender 110 · photos, packages and modifications

The popular model of Land Rover known as the Defender 110 has this name because it has a wheelbase measuring 110 inches. Initially, this series was launched in 1983 but there were no significant differences when seen visually between the first and the second series. However, there were many new and updated features on this particular model including the new suspension on coil springs, instead of on leaf springs. Apart from just the technical improvements which made the ride smooth, this car also included some upgrading in terms of looks. Some of the interior features were also modernized.

As far as the last generation of the Defender is considered, the particular generation deviated from the general purpose of this range. As the time passed on, and the comfort features along with the smooth ride were added to the list of advantages that this car gave, the Defender started to be seen more on normal roads, rather than just being used as an off-road vehicle. Therefore, it became more of a recreational vehicle in its last generation. After this line, Land Rover made advances to the model which included comfortable seats along with advanced trim packages.
