KIA Opirus · photos, packages and modifications

The Opirus known in America as the Amanti was considered as the first executive saloon by the South Korean manufacturer. This car was also the first attempt for Kia to enter the large-car market. As a sedan, this car only had one trim level. This car had certain components sharing with another car, known as the Hyundai XG Grandeur, which had long discontinued production. The car was much appreciated over its design, but the front end which has similarities with Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse enabled the car to get some criticism.

In 2007 after its initial release in 2003, this car received a facelift that included certain mechanical upgrades. These upgrades included better suspension system along with a new engine which was also found on the Hyundai Grandeur known as the 3.8 V6. The car even though it was considered a luxury sedan had a wide range of low prices, especially when compared to its rivals. The criticism that this car had was its similarity to Mercedes, as mentioned above.
