A mid-engined range-topping sports car was produced by Ferrari in the name of the Ferrari F50. In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company, this model was introduced in 1995. This car was featured with a two door and two seat convertible with the removable hardtop option. When you consider about the engine of this car, it was a 4.7 liter 60-valve V12 engine that was naturally aspirated. The engine was developed from the 3.5 liter V12, which was used in the Ferrari F92A Formula One car in 1992.

Only 349 units of this model were produced. The last model of the F50 was produced in July 1997 in Maranello, Italy. The predated of F50 was done by the engine. This is because the engine was used in the Ferrari 333 SP in 1994 for the American IMSA series that allowed it to become the model as eligible for the category of stock engine WSC.

This car was featured with new front spoiler, a fixed roof, large rear spoiler and many other adjustments to make it as the best one. The 4.7 liter V12 engine of this car was tuned in order to generate around 750 bhp or 559 kW. This car was proven as quicker than the 333SP in testing in 1996. But, it was unnoticed by Ferrari since he cancelled the F50 GT project instead he focused on the project of Formula One.
