There was a model launched in the range of Ferrari with the name after the Enzo Ferrari who was the founder of the company and as a 12 cylinder mid-engine Berlinetta. The model was known as the Enzo Ferrari. This car was built with the technology of Formula One along with the carbon-fire body, Carbon fiber-reinforced Silicon Carbide ceramic composite disc brakes and F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission. It was also designed with the technologies of active aerodynamics and traction control those were not allowed in F1 model. In order to maintain the downforce, the rear wing was designed in a way to actuate by computer. The model was able to offer 7600N downforce that can be reached at 300 km/h or 186 mph.

When you consider about the first generation engine of the Ferrari, you would probably end up with the result as the V12 engine of the Enzo. This was the architecture based on the V8 engine, which was derived from the Maserati Quattroporte that was the sister-company of Ferrari and it was also designed along with the 104 mm bore spacing. The architecture of this model probably replaced the architecture of most other contemporary Ferrari models, which came with the V12 and V8 engine. The F430 2005 models were the second Ferrari model to get the version of this new powerplant.
