In 1995, Mitsubishi Motors launched the car model named as Dodge Avenger. This car was featured with four-speed automatic transmission system along with the 2.4 liter world engine. It was produced with dual variable valve timing. For the Dodge Avenger there are three trim levels available such as Avenger R/T, Avenger SE and Avenger SXT. From 1995 to 2000, there were three different vehicles produced including the Dodge Avenger coupe. In 2003, the concept of Dodge Avenger was launched in the North American Auto Show in 2003. The Dodge Avenger (JS) Sedan model was released in 2007 as the model of the year in 2008.

The sports model of this car was developed, in order to offer the high-speed and control with the help of 16 inch aluminum wheels and body color spoiler it had. The Avenger model with two door coupe was featured with 103 inch wheelbase and a 2.0 liter 14 engine. In the later models, the 2.5 liter V6 engine of Mitsubishi was used as an alternative. The 2008 Avenger was featured with the best design for performance. This model was equipped with a DVD player along with 2 GB hard drive in order to offer high quality audio and video performance because of the all-wheel drive. The airbags available in this model were designed to ensure the protection and safety of passengers and drivers.
