When you consider about the Chrysler New Yorker Salon, the name Salon was used as the identity for the previous name New Yorker trim from 1990 to 1993. This is because there were many models introduced at that time. The Chrysler models that had been built since 1939 by Chrysler, it was the model derived from the base New Yorker and treated as one of a long list trims. But, built up of this model was ended in 1996. This was the model that made Chrysler get more reputation and had been the symbol of high class luxury cars. The New Yorker model was treated as the perfect for families and leisure drivers without any sporting experience because of the comfortable ride and great standard features it offered. It was also described as the full-size sedan.

A Chrysler model was equipped with a three or four speed automatic transmission that was designed based on the Chrysler C platform. This model was a four-door sedan that named as the Chrysler New Yorker Salon. The main reason for the decent driving experience with this model was the main engine used in this. This engine was able to provide 143 horsepower with 3.3L V6.

Apart from the engine model, there were many salient features available with this Salon model. The salient features of this model were driver side airbags, power windows, air conditioning and power steering. Even though there were many models available, it would be better to start with the standard package of this model.
