Used widely as a police car in North America, especially among the rural areas, due to the four-wheel drive and better ground clearance, the Chevrolet Tahoe is considered as a full size SUV manufactured by General Motors. It had a lengthened wheelbase. This car came with a 5.7 liter 350 TBI V8 engine, which is able to deliver 200 horsepower. The car has not been styled most brilliantly, but it has been primarily designed for reliability and practicality.

Built on the full-size SUV platform, the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe is available in different models. This includes the LS, LT, LTZ along with Hybrid models, which have 2WD and 4WD. There is an option of the engines, which includes a 4.8L V8 unit, which is able to deliver a horse power of 295 at 5600 rpm, and a torque of 305 lb-fat at 4800 rpm. The 5.3L V8 unit delivers a 320 horse power at 5200 rpm, and a 340 lb-ft of torque at 4200 rpm. The 6.2 V8 unit is able to deliver a 395 horsepower at 5600 rpm, and 417 lb-ft of torque at 4300 rpm.
