CHEVROLET Orlando · photos, packages and modifications
Chevrolet has gotten greatly popular in the recent years, and it has been because of the new cars that have come into the market. Chevrolet Orlando is regarded as a great MPV for the UK market, which was a good breakthrough for the company. In fact, the features of this particular car are much better than its counterparts, which include Ford C-Max, Citroen C4 Picasso and Renault Scenic. You would find that it is a much better bargain, especially considering the other MPVs in the European market. It has a great styling, solidly built, high practicality and diesel engine, which is able to deliver a high torque.
Chevy Orlando definitely has something different when you consider the styling. The bold appearance is able to give off a retro appeal. In fact, it is more stylish than its conservative counterparts. On the front, with a huge grille and an oversized Chevy badge, the MPV is definitely worth buying. The lines run down to the side and the rear, and the retro styling remains the same throughout the car. It has a black trim, along with aluminum scuff plates. A disappointment with Orlando is the fact that it has oversized lights and a small rear window. Considering the interior design, you will not find any flimsy plastics and cheap trims, but actually a classy cabin that has black inserts and chrome detailing. You would find it to be better than Renault Scenic, and it comes into the line of Ford C-MAX.
People do not expect a seven-seater car to drive like a race car, but Orlando has made a good attempt at doing that. The 2.0 liter diesel engine is quite quiet, and it works lovely at motorway speeds. Running for 0-62 mph, the 128 bhp engine works well under 10 seconds. The car has firmer rides than the rivals, but if you get to a bigger bump, then there will be vibrations inside the cabin. However, the petrol motor of 1.8-liter should be avoided, because it works slowly and drinks a lot of petrol.
It has a boxy design, which is it is more practical. This makes it better than the other MPVs in the market. Once you have folded the rear seats, you would have a 1,499-liter load space. If all three rows are in place, there is no room for luggage. Headroom in the rear seats is not that great, but the access is quite easy. It also has some additional features, such as an extra rear view mirror, in order to keep an eye on backseat passengers, along with a cubbyhole, placed behind the front of the stereo, in order to set up an MP3 player.
