In 1953, General Motors introduced the Chevy Corvette which is a sports car that has always been manufactured in the United States. There were manufacturing plants that produced these cars in Michigan and Missouri however currently it is manufactured in Bowling Green, Kentucky where there is also a Corvette museum and a National Homecoming for Corvette also takes place each year.

In 1954, the manufacturing plant that was in St. Louis, Michigan started the production of the cars while previously they were manufactured in Flint, Michigan where the first ever Chevy Corvettes were also manufactured and were totally hand-built. In the first edition ever of Corvettes, most of the parts were same as the components that were used in the other Chevy cars however it had one great feature that the exterior of the car was made of fiberglass which was a relatively new material at that time. However the construction of fiberglass did cause some problems as the assembly lines are not capable of having cars made from such materials thus it made the first ever Corvettes unable to start.

The C6 is the latest of the six cars that have been in the series of Corvettes (C1 to C6) and has been in production since only 2005. The Corvette cars have gradually improved and adapted to the advancement in technology. The previous Corvettes were known for their strength and power however now the Corvettes have also got other features such as fine transmission, braking and handling making sure that the Corvettes do not lack much behind its counterparts.
