The car Chevrolet Aveo is now currently in its second generation of models and production. The car is a very capable supermini which has been specifically built with comfort and space in mind. It has much more room than the cars which are its rivals such as Suzuki Swift and Ford Ka, but its cost is less than both these cars. The car is also very well equipped from its mid level LS trim upwards, and the company even offers it with an efficient 1.3 Liter Diesel engine. It can't obviously match the higher end cars in its class in the terms of build quality or driving dynamics, but it's easy to drive and a simple car and also a very good option for people who are on a budget.

The Chevrolet Aveo is a sporty looking car which is very attractive and its aggressive design makes it resemble the Volkswagen Sirocco. The Prominent Grill, the hidden rear door handles, and the exposed headlights do a very nice job of hiding the Chevrolets very practical layout of five doors, and also give it a lot of character. But only the top of the line LT models get the alloy Rims. There also some very unique touches in the interior of the car, including many little storage cubbies and also cup holders. But also the mismatched plastics feel cheap and hard.

Two kinds of engines are available, either a 1.4 liter petrol or a 1.2 liter petrol. The 1.2 liter petrol provides the car with 83 bhp while the 1.4 Liter gives 99BHP. Both the cars have a five speed based manual gearbox. The light control of the car and its smooth gear change make it an easy car to drive around. But the lack of steering control and poor body response make the car not challenge the higher end cars in its class. Neither of the engines are refined either and feel slow. The 1.3 liter diesel option is faster but also makes a lot of noise.

The Chevrolet Aveo basically shares its mechanical side from the other major cars which have been tested and tried for GM and Vauxhall. Furthermore there have been no major faults reported. It also feels that this is a better built car from its previous version and that this car will stand the test of time pretty well. Even if some of the plastics on the dashboard do feel a bit flimsy and breakable. It comes out with a lot of safety material, including the six airbags, ESP and a bonnet which is designed to cause minimum injury to the people walking on the road.

The Chevy Aveo is one of the most practical supermini cars in the market ant its rear doors open up to revel a big bench which can easily accommodate two adults comfortably. The room for the head and legs is also very generous. Inside the car has a twin glove compartment with space also for the music player.
