In 2010 BMW launched production of cars type X1, modification sDrive18i and closed it in 2011. The weight of the car is 1.4 tons and a length of 4.5 m, It is formed as SUV & Crossover with five doors, and can be fit in 5 people with a driver.

«X1 sDrive18i» is a rear wheel drive automobile with a 6-speed manual gear shift. This vehicle can be accelerated for 9.7 seconds to 100 km/h, with a maximum speed of 202 km/h, thanks to a 4-cylinders petrol motor engine with a «multipoint injection fuel system», which generate a max power of 150 horsepower at 6400 rpm.

Fuel consumption is 11.3 l in the city driving mode, on the suburban 6.4 liters, and the mixed fuel rate is 8.2 l per 100 km. Tank capacity is 63 liters of petrol, what allow you to go approximately 769 kilometers without refueling.

The forward wheels of this vehicle have ventilated disks, 312 mm brakes and fixed to the undercarriage by dint of suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with anti-roll bar. Rear wheels have ventilated disks, 300 mm brakes and attached to the chassis with help of suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped sway bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 225/50R17.

In conformity with the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of BMW X1 received the maximal quantity of stars - 5, indicating that it is a very safe automobile. Furthermore to passive safety (passenger, head/curtain, driver, side airbags), it is also equipped with dynamic safety systems such as Traction control, EBD, ABS, Brake assistant, ESP.
