From 2009 BMW launched manufacture of automobiles type 5-series, modification 525d xDrive Business Line and finished it in 2010. This car has four doors, the body is shaped like a sedan, weight 1.6 tons and length 4.8 meters, which allows a seat 5 person total.

«5-series 525d xDrive Business Line» is a full-wheel drive automobile with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This car can speed up for 7.8 seconds to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 232 km/h, thanks to a 6-cylinders diesel motor engine with a «common rail system», which produce a max output of 197 horsepower at 3750 rpm.

Gas tank capacity of this vehicle is 70 l of diesel, therefore when intermediate fuel rate is 6.7 liters per 100 km (5.4 liters on the highway, 8.8 liters in the city), that allows to go about 1045 kilometers unrefueled.

The forward wheels of this model have ventilated disks, 324 mm brakes and attached to the body chassis using suspension type «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with sway bar. Rear wheels have ventilated disks, 320 mm brakes and fixed to the body chassis by dint of suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped with stabilizer bar. Tires have the following measure - 225/50R17.

In conformity with the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of BMW 5-series received the great quantity of stars - four, indicating that it is a reasonably safe car. Furthermore to active safety features (EBD, Traction control, ESP, Brake assistant, ABS), it is also equipped with passive safety systems (side, driver, head/curtain, passenger airbags).
