From 2008 BMW launched manufacture of automobiles type 3-series Touring, modification of 320i Touring. In this automobile can fit 5 people including the driver, it has the body type of a wagon with 5 doors, and length 4.5 meters, weight 1.4 tons.

«3-series Touring 320i Touring» auto with a 6-speed sequential automatic transmission is fitted to the rear-wheels. This automobile can speed up for 9.2 seconds to 100 km/h, with a maximum speed of 224 km/h, due to a 4-cylinders petrol motor with a «direct injection fuel system», which produce a max power of 170 hp at 6700 rpm.

Fuel tank volume of this auto is 63 liters of petrol, therefore when mixed fuel rate is 7 l per 100 km (5.5 l on the track, 9.5 liters in the urban), accordingly allows to go nearly 900 km unrefueled.

The forward wheels of this auto have ventilated disks, 312 mm brakes and fixed to the undercarriage with help of suspension «MacPherson, independent, coil springs» and equipped with sway bar. Back wheels have ventilated disks, 300 mm brakes and fixed to the undercarriage through suspension «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped anti-roll bar. Tires have the following size - 205/55R16.

In conformity with the data of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of BMW 3-series Touring received the higher quantity of stars - 5, which indicates that it is a very safe vehicle. Furthermore to passive safety (side, driver, passenger, head/curtain airbags), it is also equipped with active systems of safety such as EBD, Traction control, ESP, ABS, Brake assistant.
