BMW launched production from 2007 of cars model 1-series, modification of 120i. This car has three doors, the body chassis is in the form a hatchback, weight 1.3 tons and length 4.2 meters, which allows a seat 4 men in sum.

«1-series 120i» is a rear-wheel drive vehicle with a 6-speed sequential automatic gearbox. The 4-cylinders petrol engine with «direct injection fuel system» can produce output 170 hp at 6700 rmp, which allows you to speed up the vehicle in 8.3 s to 100 km/h and reach ceiling speed of 222 km/h.

Fuel rate is 8.4 liters in the city driving mode, on the highway 5.1 liters, and the medium fuel rate is 6.3 liters per 100 kilometers. Fuel tank volume is 53 liters of petrol, what lets to go about 842 km unrefuelled.

The front wheels of this model have ventilated disks, 300 mm brakes and fixed to the chassis by dint of suspension type «Double wishbone, independent, coil springs» and equipped stabilizer bar. Rear wheels have disks, 296 mm brakes and fixed to the undercarriage through suspension type «Multilink, coil springs» and equipped stabilizer bar. Tires have the following dimensions - 205/55R16.

In conformity with the results of Euro NCAP crash test, this model of BMW 1-series received the maximal number of stars - five, which indicates that it is a very safe auto. Furthermore to active systems of safety (Traction control, EBD, ABS, Brake assistant, ESP), it is also has passive safety systems (side, driver, head/curtain, passenger airbags).
