After days of speculation and different information that was surfacing about the S7 Sportback, Audi recently released its new S7 Sportsback. Resembling the 2012 S6 Avant and S8, the Sportback S7 will also be available with a TFSI 4.0 litre V8 engine paired with dual turbocharging offering an acceleration of 0-62 in 4.9 seconds. The latter S7 model was restricted at a speed of 155 mph however the new model is capable of performing better due to its 420 horsepower and 550 Nm made available in a range of 1,400 rpm to 5300 rpm. The Ingolstadt produced cylinder on demand actually shuts off the cylinders whenever not needed and the 9.7 litre per 100 km fuel economy is achieved based on a combined cycle.

The S7 is a total of 4,980 millimetres in length and the offered boot space amounts to 535 liters with the back seats intact and 1.390 litres folded. Using a hybrid construction of aluminum, the S7 is a lightweight vehicle though the weight is not known. Audi offers 19 inch and 20 inch rims for the S7 along with carbon ceramic brakes (optional), internally ventilated disc brakes for the axles and black matt calipers.

Mechanically the Audi S7 is available with 7 Speed S tronic gearbox, Audi's AAWD Quattro system, torque vectoring, self locking center differential and a dynamic steering with variations according to the close ratio of the vehicle’s speed. S7's equipment includes LED running daytime lights, MMI, xenon plus headlights and the options of choosing extra gadgets is also available.
