AUDI Cabriolet · photos, packages and modifications

The Audi's brand of Cabriolet released all its models in the year 1991. While Avant and Sedan versions of Audi 80 were introduced later using the B4 platforms, the Carriolet however remained to be constructed on the platform of Audi Coupe of 1989. Since Cabriolet required a heavy re engineering in the model if it were to be built using the new platform, the German auto manufacturers retained its previous make.

AllCabriolet models came with standard sports suspension whereas the option of a permanent Quattro four wheel drive was made available with all as well. The Audi Carbriolet also featured the world premiere of soft top cars for Audi which did not see any change in its design until 1998 when it was given new bumpers instrument clusters and new headlights. The production of Cabriolet was dropped in 2000 and was replaced by Audi's new TT Roadster.
