AUDI 80 Avant · photos, packages and modifications

In 1991 along with upgrading the designs of the 80's and 90's Audi models, the decision of extending the German Automaker's midsize luxury cars range was also taken. The extension was taken in the form of the introduction of the Audi 80 Avant. This estate cum wagon 80's version was built on a completely new platform of the Group B4 Volkswagen and underwent several updates that were also brought in the the model's saloon variation.

The new included features were the new bumpers, a restyled rear axle, redesigned grille in the front and a larger wheelbase. The brand was introduced in the market with a somewhat different model for North America than the model introduced elsewhere mainly due to stricter safety rules though the only changes made were of new configurations for the headlamps and a different redesigned front bumper. The Audi 80's versions of the Coupe and Avant's production was discontinued in the year 1995.
